Late September 2025, someone on X asks what the Z in Zcash stands for. The answer that sticks is a number that does not exist. Within weeks it is everywhere: Zcash's own cryptographer Sean Bowe signs off with it, Mert posts it under anything about privacy, Ansem tells people to run it to zillions. Trillions is declared cursed. The community adopts the word and makes it the word for the ZEC ecosystem. Zillions is the only number left.
